Heat Exchangers
Heat Exchangers
Especially at high pressures, gas expansion occurs as gas pressure is reduced, causing a decrease in gas temperature. This rapid drop in gas temperature can lead to icing and freezing, particularly at the remote controls on the inlets of pressure reduction regulators in stations.
To prevent this, the gas temperature before and after pressure reduction must be kept above the condensation point.
Heat exchangers are manufactured according to ASME Code VIII Div. 1 standards and customer requirements. All heat exchangers have a heat number, their main components are of sealed material type, and the basic materials are steel with certified workmanship.
Hot water is generally used for heating purposes in heat exchangers. However, saturated steam is an alternative method used upon customer request or if required. The saturated steam method also reduces the required surface area of the exchanger.
ERCE Enerji manufactures shell-and-tube and other types of heat exchangers for natural gas preheating, industrial process applications, and thermal management systems. Each unit is custom-designed based on specific thermal duty calculations and process conditions.
